Random acts of brotherly love

I glanced into the dining room this afternoon while the boys were playing computer games. As I watched them, A leaned over towards N and put his face in front of N's face. N. leaned forward and gave A a quick kiss. Then both of their attention returned to the computer screen and they continued with their game. It's moments like this that make me so happy to have two boys so close in age. I am blessed with sons who love each other and they are blessed by brotherly love.

How many meals can you get out of a Turkey?

Two weeks ago I had a dinner party to celebrate Dan's birthday. We had friends over and I cooked a 20 pound turkey for dinner along with all the fixings.
We've been eating that turkey every since. If fact, we just finished it tonight.
So..... Here are the meals I got out of a 20 pound turkey
1. Turkey dinner for 9
2. Turkey Pot Pie
3. a BIG pot of Turkey Noodle soup (enough for us and another family of 6 and several lunches)
4. Hot turkey sandwiches with gravy
5. Cold turkey sandwiches
6. Turkey straight out of the bag
7. Barbecue turkey pizza

I was beginning to run out of ideas. But it was really nice having turkey in the refridgerator.
